Dr. Kristin Neff is the pioneering researcher of self-compassion and an Associate Professor in Human Development at the University of Texas at Austin. Her website is an excellent resource for the science and practice of self-compassion, including research articles, exercises, and her Self-Compassion Scale can be self-administered and automatically scored online.

Dr. Christine Braehler is the currently the leading exponent of compassion-based therapy in Germany. She teaches the MSC program in Europe, she published the first randomized controlled trial of compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and has a private practice of psychotherapy in Munich.
